Supporting LDCSB students is a priority for everyone at the LDCSB. Parents, staff and volunteers go above and beyond every school year to enhance school initiatives not funded through Ministry of Education grants.

Many times, schools undertake various fundraising initiatives to pay or lower the cost of these added extras.

Parents, caregivers and members of the community can make donations online to specific schools and to fundraising initiatives such as playground revitalization, school signs/scoreboards, specialty programs, scholarships and more.

In general, schools and school councils are not permitted to fundraise for anything that government funding typically covers.

The donation process is simple and secure. Just click 'Donate' on this page to be redirected to the SchoolCash Online donation page. When your donation has been completed, you will receive an immediate email with a tax receipt.

How to Donate as a Corporation: In order to donate as a corporation and get a tax receipt in the name of the corporation: sign out of your personal account and donate as a guest using a credit card that is in the name of the corporation.

Can I donate to a specific purpose or initiative?
The LDCSB will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate the intended purpose of the donation. Donations to a specific LDCSB school or program will be directed to that school or program if specified by the donor. The LDCSB will not redirect such donations to another school, program, central department or fund unless it is a term/condition of the donation. However, if the original purpose of the donation no longer exists, or cannot to be complied with, or if the donation cannot be fully utilized for that purpose, or if the donation violates LDCSB policy or the law (e.g., Human Rights Code), the LDCSB reserves the right to redirect the donation made to other appropriate charitable purposes. All monetary donations to the LDCSB become property of the LDCSB.

Can I make an in-kind donation?
If you wish to make an in-kind donation to a school or to the LDCSB, please contact your school principal or call the LDCSB Board Office BEFORE delivering anything to the school or board office.

In-kind donations may include new and gently used items or vehicles. The donor is responsible for providing the donation voluntarily and arranging for delivery of the goods to the school or board office.

If a tax receipt is required, the donor must provide proof of the current fair market value of the goods. For new goods, an original invoice should be provided. For used goods and vehicles, the donor must provide a third-party appraisal of the merchandise to be donated prior to the donation being made.
