The three Catholic elementary schools in London that were closed on December 6 due to the number of students and staff quarantining as a result of multiple likely and/or confirmed positive Omicron variant COVID-19 cases are all scheduled to reopen December 13.
St. Nicholas, St. Marguerite D’Youville, and St. Mary Choir and Orchestra were all closed temporarily this week.
Since the COVID-19 cases affected staff in multiple different classrooms throughout the schools as part of their regular duties, the LDCSB made the decision to temporarily close the schools out of an abundance of caution to help ensure the continued health, safety and well-being of all students and staff at the schools.
Please note the status of the schools is subject to change as we continue to gather information over the weekend.
The LDCSB posts information about all confirmed active school-related cases on our website at ldcsb.ca/covid/ (click the Status of LDCSB Schools link).
