The LDCSB has made the decision to close Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School London effective immediately due to the number of students and staff quarantining as a result of multiple likely and/or confirmed positive Omicron variant COVID-19 cases.
Since the cases affect staff in multiple different classrooms throughout the schools as part of their regular duties, this decision was made out of an abundance of caution to help ensure the health, safety and well-being of all 1,150-plus students and staff at the school.
Mother Teresa will be closed the rest of this week. During the temporary closures, students will continue their learning remotely. At the current time, it is anticipated that in-person classes will resume after the Christmas break.
The Middlesex London Health Unit is investigating the cases and will provide advice and support to the school communities in navigating this situation.
The LDCSB posts information about all confirmed active cases on our website at ldcsb.ca/covid/ (click the Status of LDCSB Schools link).
